Enjoy a full day tour to the Pelion villages starting from Ano Lechonia with a brief stop at the Historical Railway Station to admire the beautiful architecture of the building and the Pelion Train that began its journey at the beginning of the 20th century.
In Agios Georgios we visit the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Pammegiston Taxiarchon, built above a spectacular natural balcony with panoramic views. The surrounding landscape, rich in greenery and crystal clear waters, is unique in grace, tranquility and peace.
The rich land of Pelion, full of plane trees, chestnut trees, apple trees and olive trees, captivates our gaze as we arrive in Vizitsa to admire the imposing mansions with the distinctive architectural tradition of Pelion, the cobblestone paths, the church of Zoodochos Pigh, built in 1725 and the well-preserved monastery of Agios Ioannis. In the women’s cooperative, we prepare and taste sweet treats, using traditional recipes, well-preserved over the years.
In Milies we admire the historic train terminal, the Church of Pammegiston Taxiarhon, built before 1741 and the Milotiki School, founded in 1814 and operates as a library.
We leave the mountain of the Centaurs to head to Afissos and Kalifteri beach to enjoy our swim to the deep blue waters of the Pagasitikos Gulf and also a light lunch under the shade of the trees that reach the sea.
